Welcome to the beginning of another great year at Harrells Christian Academy!
If you are reading this then you are already a part of STEPS. Everyone involved with HCA (parents, teachers, students) is a member of STEPS.
Since the inception of STEPS in January of 2006, STEPS has invested over $50,000 in our school. These investments are going to pay dividends well into our future.
- Computers for many of our teachers
- LCD projectors for middle and upper school
- Continuing education of lower school teachers in the A Beka curriculum
- Computer lab equipment
- Staff training in the learning center
- Equipment for high school computer lab
- TV/DVD/VHS for high school
- SAT Workshop
- Equipment for AP chemistry labs
- Assisting in developing a lower and middle school newspaper
- Ellison Educational Equipment to be used in lower school
- Videos to be used in high school English
- DVDs for biology and anatomy class
- Equipment for the praise band
- Kiln to be used in the Arts department
- Wireless mobile unit consisting of 10 laptop computers and a LCD projector
There is much more to accomplish. We would greatly appreciate any help you can offer. You are already a member of STEPS. If you have time to assist please let us know. Please consider supporting STEPS financially. We would like to continue to approve every reasonable request from our HCA staff. We need your continued financial support in order to continue our mission.

It is the mission of STEPS to provide enrichment opportunities in order to complement the existing programs at HCA. These efforts will provide diverse experiences which challenge and prepare our students.
Core beliefs:
Harrells Christian Academy is an excellent school moving in a positive direction.
Each stakeholder of the learning community is responsible to do what he/she can in order to promote this positive direction.
The value of recognizing and accepting individual differences and unique learning styles of each student is essential in the development of enrichment programs.
Teachers and staff of HCA are talented and dedicated and have a vision for educating their students...STEPS wishes to support their vision.
The students at HCA are talented, creative, and enthusiastic...STEPS desires to nurture their abilities, thus allowing them the opportunities to develop to their fullest potential.

STEPS Enivsions:
Teacher and staff development and training opportunities
Emphasis on college preparation, including, but not limited to: SAT courses, interviewing and essay writing skill development, college visitation, etc.
Development of school clubs in art, chorus, drama, and math/science.
Lower and Middle school newspaper written by and for the students.
School Pep Band
Educational supplies and equipment that exceed the school's fund balance
Additional support for existing curricula.
